Welcome to the Roofers Local 22 Website 

The next regular union meeting is July 21, 2010 at 6:00 PM at 280 Metro Park. 

A security wall has been built inside the front office of the Union Hall/Fund Office.  We have had a couple of incidents over the past year and it became evident that some security enhancements were necessary.  Most Union, JATC and Fund business can be handled through this new security window, however, if you need to discuss more issues than can be addressed at the window, you are still welcome to come into the office.

Work is picking up, so if you have not yet signed the Out-of-Work book, please stop into the Union Hall ASAP to get your name in the book as that is where the BA goes first when a Contractor calls for workers.

The Union has some free passes to the Labor Film Series at the George Eastman House held every Friday evening at 8:00 PM starting Sept 3rd and running through Oct 29th.  Please contact the BA if you would like some movie passes.

If anyone would like to help out with the Labor Day Parade, the meetings are Thurs. 8/5, Thurs. 8/26 and Thurs 9/2 at 30 North Union Street from 5-6 PM.  They will need all kinds of help the day of the event. 

The Union has a limited number of BJ's Wholesale Memberships available at a member rate of $21.60.  They require a letter from the Union to get the discounted membership  so please contact the Business Agent if you are interested.

All members are eligible for Union benefits at http://unionplus.org.

Individuals who may be interested in attending pickets or other events that effect other area locals to show our support in the Labor Community can call the Union Hall to get on a list.  The Union is trying to set-up some events for our own local as well.  Being on this list does not commit you to attend every event, but shows our sense of community and helps to keep all Rochester Unions strong. 

A very exciting link has been made available where you can view your National Pension Benefits on-line.  Just click on the link on the left where it says "Your NRIPP Benefits".  Once you are in, it will ask you to type in a Username, type in your last name.  In the Password box type in your social security number without any spaces or dashes.  This is the only time you will use your SS#, the website will have you change your password.  Follow the prompts to access your personal benefits.  The figures it shows are as if you stopped working today at the regular retirement age of 61.
